This is just a dating anniversary but we do live together and I think marriage will come in the next 5 years.Or think about times he has said things like, "I need to get a new jacket one of these days" or "I saw the coolest fishing stuff at Bass Pro" or whatever.I have a little online notepad through Google Docs where I jot that stuff down. That way when a birthday or Christmas rolls around, I look and "Oh yeah! Most guys like practical gifts, not romantic gifts. I would always prefer a tool, a radar detector or even a pair of socks over a box of chocolate, a bottle of wine, or a fancy dinner. Going out to eat is always nice, but if you want to give him a gift, think about what he really likes to do.
(We don't know, and you haven't told us how much you want to spend either.) Going on his suggestion of the lifting bar, what about: - Weight lifting gloves - Additional workout gear, like dumbbells or plates for the bar (these get very pricey, though) - A mat for your home gym - i Tunes gift card for workout music - A portable stereo for his MP3 player - One of those i Pod armbands - New earphones - Workout clothes - Gift card for new exercise shoes (he should pick these out himself) - Homemade coupon for post-exercise massage and dinner made by you Stuff like that.
Just think about what he likes and what he might need or enjoy based on that.
One year my now wife (then girlfriend)'s gift to me was "you do nto have to take me anywhere for our anniversary this year" I loved that gift. If he gets up and starts helping out around the house, she gets him candy the next year.
I took her out anyway, but I really preciated the sentiment. Otherwise its an iron bar that she whacks him with on the 6th anniversary. Buy both of you a little something He will love unwrapping it. imgurl= BF-N8m C-h8Ln TNIMT0JAdtzv Z0=&h=400&w=600&sz=93&hl=en&start= 104&zoom=1&tbnid=4fv Qrfw DRd-Ji M:&tbnh=140&tbnw=182&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dlingerie%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3D active%26client%3Dsafari%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Den%26biw %3D1247%26bih%3D755%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C2429&um=1&it bs=1&iact=hc&vpx=136&vpy=252&dur=1703&hovh=183&hov w=275&tx=81&ty=92&ei=El P1TKXi GYGKlwe Zj7n2BQ&oei=6F L1TPCl KIWgl Af Nu9DRBQ&esq=5&page=5&ndsp=27&ved=1t:4 29,r:0,s:104&biw=1247&bih=755 [/IMG] Please register to post and access all features of our very popular forum. Anything that says "I am thinking about you and I understand you" is really cool.
