The frontman of the band, who release their new album 'Mechanical Bull' in September, spoke out against suggestions he had to get help for his drinking habits after a US tour in 2011 was cancelled.
At the time the band cited "internal sicknesses and problems that need to be addressed" as for the reason for pulling out of the gigs.
Speaking to The Telegraph about what he is like when he has been drinking, Followill said: "Once I start to drink you don’t want to be around me because there’s a level of brutal honesty, if not just pure meanness." The frontman also later added: "In a way, I lash out at everyone else ’cause that’s when I start to point fingers at myself.
